Our goal is to exalt Christ by helping to equip students with the tools necessary for a lifetime of meaningful artistic and academic pursuits of excellence; glorifying worship and service to God; vibrant ministry to others.

Our mission is to encourage and enhance the efforts of home educating families in Niagara by providing training with a focus on timeless values, depth of character, rich language and by expressing truth, beauty and goodness through various creative arts, enrichment learning and service opportunities within a supportive community. Our music and drama selection are thematically and historically linked by year, and are based on classic literature.

Jubal Cottage School seeks to:

1. Teach all disciplines as part of an integrated whole with the Scripture at the centre

2. Nurture students to love and serve God with all their minds, hearts and talents, as they minister to others

3. Provide a clear example of biblical Christian life through our teachers, administrators, student body and families

Our Name

Jubal: We draw inspiration from Jubal, the father of those who play musical instruments. (Genesis 4:21)

Cottage School: The very term "cottage school" is a rather obscure one. Here are our impressions: "one-room” model, nurturing community, mentoring relationships, parental involvement, focused intent, Charlotte Mason inspired.

Statement Of Faith

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and the final authority in faith and life.

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the God we serve is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the source of all truth. He is holy, righteous, just, good, loving, and full of grace and mercy.

We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God, that he sinned – becoming guilty before God – resulting in total depravity; thereby incurring physical and spiritual death.

We believe in the true deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in His eternal existence with the Father in pre-incarnate glory, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His mediatorial ministry, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone. Those who believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. The Fruit of the Spirit and obedience to the Word of God, are the evidences of a true and lively faith.

We believe in the absolute and essential deity and personality of the Holy Spirit who convinces of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; who regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, illuminates and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection: those who have exercised faith in Christ to eternal life; those who have rejected Christ to eternal punishment and separation from Him.
